WHS, how does it actually work?

During 2020, a new index calculation method will be deployed. The WHS for World Handicap System. The goal is to standardize the calculation of indexes in the world (and now in France)! This method was already used in many countries. Consequently, it allows you to count competitions abroad for your French index, and thus standardize the calculation method.

So how is my index calculated?

The WHS takes into account the average of the scores of your 8 best differential scores from the last 20 competitions. Finished the ups and downs of 0.1 point which only took into account your last competition. However if you have less than 20 competitions registered, the average will only be calculated on 1 to 7 competitions.

What is a differential score?

For each competition, you will have a differential score. It is therefore by averaging these scores that you will obtain your index. As a reminder, the differential score is calculated as follows: Differential score = (113/ rating slope) x (adjusted gross score – Course Rating – PCC adjustment).
